A lot of people don't know what to expect on the first visit to their chiropractor. The following explains what would happen on a typical first visit at our office. Please feel free to call our office if you have any further questions that the typical first visit doesn't answer.
A) Case History - This is a brief set of forms that go over your present condition, past condition, past history, past medications, etc...
B) Consultation/Examination - This is where the Doctor will ask many questions to get to the root of your problem. The Doctor will then perform a slew of tests (very basic; turning your head, lifting your leg, muscle testing, orthopedic tests, and range of motion) to see how your body is working. Based on the examination the Doctor will decide whether or not x-rays are needed.
C) Report of Findings - This is where the Doctor will go over the results of the testing and the x-rays (if taken). This usually takes place within a couple days of the first visit. This allows us to call on your insurance to see what is covered. We will then go over your insurance with you, so that we can tell you the cost before we perform any services.
